Any info you can tell me so i can sound informed when i buy it will be apreciated. thanks oh yeah i need a portable one so i can take to my girlfriends house sometimes
Answer
Well you have: projector and a screen.
Projectors are not really portable because you can’t really bring a screen along unless its a stand like one for portability.
Back to the main question.
These things you will be needing.
Some HD cables (unless it isn’t hd)
Speakers (Screen isn’t same as TV)
DVD player (blu-ray if you got the cash)
and some source of TV (satellite or cable)
EXTRA: a mount to ceiling or a table for a stand.

A hull is the body of a sailing boat. It provides the buoyancy that prevents the vessel from sinking.
Traditional sailboats are monohulls, but multi-hull catamarans and trimarans are becoming more and more popular.
All sailing boats have keels – it’s the backbone of the hull. Even multihulls have keels. On a sailboat the word keel is also used to refer to the area that is added to the hull to improve its lateral plane. Keels use the forward motion of the boat to generate lift. Sailboats have much larger keels than non-sailing hulls.
Most monohulls require ballast, depending on the design ballast will be 20 to 50 per cent of the displacement. The ballast is often integrated into their keels as large masses of lead or cast iron. This secures the ballast and gets it as low as possible to improve its effectiveness. A monohull keel is made effective by a combination of weight, depth and length.
A keel does not provide a stabilising effect but instead applies a capsizing force. This capsizing effect needs to be offset by hull design.
There are many types of fixed keels, including:
Full keel, ong keels, Fin keels, Winged keels, Bulb keels, Bilge keels and Monohull.
A monohull is a type of boat having only one hull, unlike multihulled boats which can have two or more individual hulls connected to one another. This is the most common form of vessel.
Monohull boats usually rely on ballast for stability, and are sometimes called displacement hulls. This gives the monohull a degree of sluggishness, making it less manoeuvrable and reducing its speed. It also makes it more likely to sink if filled with water.
A multihull is a vessel with more than one hull. Multihulls are faster than monohulls because the absence of ballast reduces their weight. Designed to be as lightweight as possible, yet maintain structure, they are also built with flotation chambers. This means that, if every crew compartment becomes filled with water, the hull itself has enough buoyancy to keep afloat. This absence of ballast also results in a higher performance vessel, in terms of speed and manoeuvrability.
Multihulls are popular for racing and for cruising. Until the 1980s most multihull sailboats were built either by their owners or by boat builders on a semi-custom basis.
One disadvantage of a multihull is the width, especially when docking.

Daan Corporation wholesales repair products to equipment manufacturers. On March 1, 2010, Daan Corporation issued $24,000,000 of five-year, 12% bonds at an effective interest rate of 10%, receiving cash of $25,853,146. Interest is payable semiannually on March 1 and September 1.
a. Journalize the entry to record the sale of bonds on March 1, 2010. If an amount box does not require an entry, leave it blank.
——–> I figured out this part. I need to Debit cash for $25,853,146. Credit premium on bonds payable for $1,853,146 and Credit Bonds payable for $24,000,000.
***THIS PART I NEED HELP WITH:
B. Journalize the entry to record the first interest payment on September 1, 2010, and amortization of bond premium for six months, using the straight-line method. (Round to the nearest dollar.)
If an amount box does not require an entry, leave it blank.
I know I need to debit Interest expense, debit premium on bonds payable and credit cash but i dont know how much? Thank you!
Answer
Try this:
DR Interest Expense 1,254,685
DR Premium 185,315
CR Cash 1,440,000
The key to these straight line problems is to first find how many periods you will be making interest payments. This will be the amount of time that the premium (or discount) will be amortized over. Since this is straight line, you will amortize that premium an equal amount each payment period. So, for this example, this is a five year bond, payable semi annually, meaning there will be 10 payment periods. Divide the total premium ($1,853,146) by 10, which gives you $185,315, and this will be the amount you amortize by.
The next step is to find the credit to cash for each period. For this problem:
$24,000,000 * 6% (12% APR, so 6% semi-annually)
= $1,440,000
Subtract the premium amortization from the total cash payment, and this gives you your interest expense ($1,254,685).
Hope this helps.

The 2-piece Big Bertha range from Callaway Golf returns for 2008 – having been re-engineered to deliver greater distance without compromising the soft feel Big Bertha is know for. Delivering the lowest compression ratio of the entire range, the Big Bertha balls now deliver faster ball velocity off a wider range of swing speeds, and thanks to the addition of Callaway’s patented ‘HEX Aerodynamics’ technology, drag is greatly reduced, improving flight stability and adding extra distance. The Big Bertha golf balls also feature a Durable Ionomer Cover offering even greater club ball speed.

Callaway HX Hot Bite – New for 2008
The 3-piece HX Hot Bite ball is now available from Golfballs.co.uk. Without sacrificing the blistering pace of the HX HOT, the ‘Bite’ edition offers exceptional green-grabbing control, thanks to its proprietary softer cover. Callaway Golf HX Hot / Hot Bite Editions – available from £17.99 (12-pack).
Callaway Tour ix – New for 2008
The Tour ix range is the longest tour ball ever produced by Callaway Golf – featuring 4-piece inertia technology, built around a dual core construction for optimal distance and control. It’s no surprise that Callaway’s new golf ball has found its way into the bags of countless tour professionals this season.
The ix range utilises a tungsten enhanced outer core to re-position weight away from the centre of the ball, thus increasing the moment of inertia for reduced spin off the driver face and therefore greater distance. The top of the range ball also features a Thermoset Urethane Cover to enhance feeling and optimised spin for excellent short-game control.

The forearms are the region of the upper limb between the elbow and wrist. Though it seems to be covered with skin, it is so soft and tends to break easily. Most of the boxers will not care of their forearms and they don?t wear any protective gears to it, but they don’t know the issue behind it and any damage to forearm may spoil your career. The forearm protectors are well padded for your protection and available in different sizes. If you use the fist and the forearm protector, then you can face the battle in a brave manner. Getting a hard hit on belly disturbs the intestine, so tackle your opponent with shock absorbing kick boxing belly pads. Ankle sprains are horrible and it makes you fall down in the boxing cage and once you protect yourself with ankle support, then you don’t need to worry about any ankle sprains and ankle is the joint between foot and lower limb.
The boxing equipments available for ankle protection is magnetic ankle support where the Powerful Magnets surrounding the ankle provides superior therapeutic treatment and relieves painful joints and muscles. It Improves blood flow for natural healing and the one size fits the most and it makes you feel comfortable. The main movement of leg takes place at elbow and it is bending and straightening of muscles and the turning of forearm. Similarly knee is used for extended and flexed position and any severe injuries in these parts lead to ligament tear and once the ligament gets torn, you need to wait for a long time to make entry again. The elbow supports and knee supports are particularly made for this and magnetic elbow and knee support are used for therapeutic purpose and reduces pain in knee region.
In olden days, due to lack of proper boxing equipments, the boxers were sustained to several injuries and also, many have died due to lack of those equipments, but now it has totally changed. Due to different protective gears and boxing accessories like Handwraps and Gauze, boxing Headgear, boxing gloves, etc., the boxers can protect themselves and can face the battle like a ferocious lion that attack others. So, I hope the lions are now aware of their safety in boxing.

also in olympic boxing the only punches that score are strait punches (jab and cross) that connect with Solid impact. one can use th other punches to wear an opponent down but one will only get points based on strait punches
he probably isn’t famous. most boxers aren’t famous. if you want you can get his autograph anyways if you really want to

Boxing is a strenous activity that requires a lot of stamina and endurance. Before entering to the stage, make sure to go to a doctor and have your self examined. The doctor will assess and perform necessary procedures to know whether you are physically fit and capable of entering to the boxing sport.
Upon the doctor’s approval, get your boxing gear and equipments ready. You are required to have a good pair of boxing gloves, hand wraps, a boxing mouth guard, head protector, and appropriate shoes. These are all necessary to protect yourself from serious injury.
Find a good boxing facility with good trainers. The gym should consist of a boxing ring, mirrors, different punching bags and other gym equipments. This will help you get trained with different exercises and training workouts. This may range from treadmills, a couple of jump ropes and rounds of boxing punches. All routine exercises are consulted and should be recommended by a reputable trainer.
The most fundamental element in boxing is to learn how to throw a good jab. A jab is not just throwing powerful punches to your opponent. It is an art that you need to learn. You can learn and master the boxing boxing technique of jabbing through constant practice.
A second key point to learn is the leg and boxing footwork. It is important for you to learn proper foot work and body mechanics. In order to stay in the fight or sparring, you need to have a well guarded foot that will balance your entire body. This will help you to throw an effective jab while maintaining a defensive and strong posture.
Work on the speed and heavy bags inside the training facility. Working on the heavy bag will gradually help you improve your strength and coordination. On the other hand, working with speed bags will basically improve your speed, hand- eye coordination and movement. Working with the speed bag on your first few attempts is quite frustrating. Keep on practicing and eventually, you’ll find yourself mastering the speed bag.
If you’ve been trained for boxing basics, you may need to have a sparring partner to practice with. Your partner should be of the same level as you are to prevent yourself to get intimidated. You’ll never know how boxing truly feels not unless you tried it on the ring with your partner.
The author writes about giving valuable tips on boxing for starters and beginners who would like to try this extreme and action packed sport.

i was watchin the contender the other day and i thought it was interesting…but i dont know anything really about the sport…can someone tell me what the rules of the game are and the fundamentals of the game thanks
Answer
A boxer may not hit below the belt, in the back of the head, or strike an opponent who is down, even to one knee. Such actions are called fouls. Other fouls include kicking, tripping, wrestling, excessive holding, hitting an opponent’s eye with the thumb of the glove, hitting with the forearm or the inside of the glove, butting with the head, or using the elbows. A boxer who commits a foul is warned by the referee and may lose points. Too many fouls may result in disqualification.
After a fighter is knocked down, his opponent must immediately go to the farthest neutral corner—one of the two corners not occupied by either boxer between rounds. The referee then begins the count. If the fallen boxer rises, the count is ended. In amateur and some professional bouts, however, a fallen boxer must take a mandatory eight-count. Under this rule, fighting may not resume after a knockdown until the referee has counted to eight, even if the fallen boxer rises immediately. If a boxer in an amateur fight is knocked down three times in one round, his opponent wins the match on a TKO. This rule also applies to many professional bouts

What this sport is most well-known for is its defending techniques. People will practice this form in schools as a way to lose weight, get their bodies in shape, or compete in one of the hundreds of sporting competitions around the world. When training in this style of fighting you will learn how to throw different forms of punches including; crosses, uppercuts, hooks, and jabs.
You will learn how to move with every punch you make and the different angles in which to make them. You will also be instructed on how to perform elbow strikes and how these are effective when used to stun your opponent. Another type of fighting that you will utilize are front and side kicks to the contrasting areas of the opponent’s body. When fighting in competitions you will earn most points by kicking the legs, chest, and other body parts.
The bulk of the people that train in this are not doing it to compete. They have the desire to work out their body and lose any excessive weight. This type of fighting is a great way to increase your cardiovascular intensity and cardio levels. During each training session you will burn off a good deal of calories while training your body to be more flexible.
There are many schools across the world that will train in this one style or will mix it with other forms of martial arts. These schools will start you off at the lowest level with a white belt. The better you become the higher the belt will be until you eventually earn your black belt certification.

John Dryden said it best: “Insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results”. I guess insanity is too much of a word for the theme of the article but there is no better quote to compare comfort zones. Allow me to discuss comfort zones and why they are so tempting to stay at. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s good to have a routine, but I firmly believe that if you have a routine of intensity and change up that would be better.
I love intensity and I am going to start showing my bias towards the sport that I love again. Boxing training can take you places. It will surely take you to a whole new level. The training regimen that it offers has benefited a lot of individuals through the years. This generation is lucky to have had the opportunity to experience it as a form of exercise and not the brutal sport that most people think of. To get out of that comfort zone, you need to have an open mind to give this a shot. Training in the sport can be summarized in 5(6) words: IT’S MORE THAN THE USUAL!
It’s more than the usual ROUTINE: Yes, traditional boxing has all the basic bags. The sport has evolved a lot. You need to have an experienced trainer to guide you through the skills and conditioning. There are also various boxing- specific exercises in the form of circuits, plyometrics, intervals or what not. Every time you come in to workout, you will be changing up your routines to promote muscle confusion. It is a routine of constant change up!
It’s more than the usual EXPERIENCE: Imagine mentioning to the future generation that once upon a time you took part in the most rigorous routine ever. Boxing is not an easy sport. When you make the first step, you deserve a tap on the back. We only live once so every moment should be a blast. To show you an analogy, I recently got back from Costa Rica. There, I did the Zipline Canopy tour. I am not a big fan of heights because of people that I knew personally who lost their lives to it. However, I knew that was an experience I should not miss so I did it anyway. I screwed up many times but I had so much fun. Most of all I surpassed my own limitations and I think I will do better on my next one!
It’s more than the usual STRESS RELIEF: Nothing beats hitting a target for “therapy”. When you have a tough day at work or a rough day with the kids, boxing training is the way to go. For every punch, you release unwanted stresses. You then leave your training feeling better and more enthusiastic to face your day and what it has in store for you.
When you feel you’ve been staying in your comfort zone, do something more than the usual. Do a routine that focuses on constant change up. Experience something that you never thought/or you have always wanted to do. Comfort zones could be a pain in the butt too, meaning it could be boring and stressful. Whoop that stress! That is why you should go ahead and try something new or intense for your workouts. Boxing is the way to go and I can bet my money on that!

Answer
JSatt’s advice is good but limited in effect. http://hubpages.com/hub/Speed-healing-of-trauma-injuries-through-self-directed-regeneration will allow you to fix the damage or distressed tissue directly.

Earlier boxers were not using any gloves but instead were using only their bare knuckles to give blows to the opponents. It was Jack Broughton who was thought to have brought into force a kind of boxing glove which was known as a muffler.
There are a number of boxing gloves in the market which come in a variety of sizes, materials and even colors. It is the use of leather gloves which are h ighly recommended during training as they will tend to last longer while training even if they are more expensive. This is especially so when the boxers have to punch a heavy bag, focus pads and even during sparring.
In the case of professional boxing there are laces which help fasten the gloves so as to giver the boxer’s hand a snug fit while boxing. In recent times Velcro wrist wraps are being used as they allow the boxer to put on and remove the glove more easily while the laced varieties will need assistance from another person to help tie and untie the laces.
The boxer also must wear the right size glove to fit his hand. Boxing gloves weigh around 10 to 20ounces for adults while the children’s gloves weigh between 4 to 8 ounces.
What must be noted is that the heavier the glove the better protection it gives and that’s why beginners are advised to use gloves which weigh around 12 to 16 ounces. For sparring the standard gloves are 16ounces while professional fighters wear gloves which weigh 10ounces.
It is advisable to wear hand wraps during training as they provide extra protection to the wrists, knuckles and the small bones found in the hands. It is best to throw away worn out gloves and buy new ones at the first sign of their being worn out.
To further protect the hands it is advised to wrap the hands with lengthy strips of cloth which are called hand wraps so that the hands are well protected and do not get damaged or broken and then insert them into the gloves.
Different types of boxing gloves like Speed gloves, Bag Gloves, Sparing Gloves, Fight gloves are available in sporting shops. The speed gloves are made of light vinyl or leather mittens which help protect the boxers hand against scrapes and contusions while he or she performs light bag work during practice.
The bag gloves are made for using during punching of the heavy punching bags while the sparring gloves are designed in such away to help protect the boxer during practice sessions with other boxers. Fight gloves are made with fewer pads and they help to protect both the boxers during the fight while blows are being exchanged.
